David is a litigation associate who focuses his practice on the defense of workers’ compensation claims.
David represents employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in complex workers’ compensation defense litigation, providing strategic counsel from claim evaluation through trial and appeal.
With a solid foundation in courtroom advocacy, David brings practical litigation experience to his workers’ compensation practice. He previously served as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for the City of Norfolk, where he prosecuted a wide range of misdemeanor and felony cases. His prosecutorial experience sharpened his trial skills, evidentiary analysis, and motion practice—skills he now leverages in defending employers in contested workers’ compensation matters.
Before entering prosecution, David served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Circuit Court for the City of Danville, Virginia, working under the Honorable James Reynolds and the Honorable Joseph Milam. In that role, he gained valuable insight into judicial decision-making, legal research, and complex civil and criminal litigation.
Prior to his legal career, David proudly served in the United States Army, providing intelligence support at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. His military service instilled in him discipline, strategic thinking, and a mission-focused approach that continues to guide his legal practice.
David earned his Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law, his Master of Arts from American University School of International Service, and his Bachelor of Arts from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University (Virginia Tech).
