Lauren has a dual practice defending employers and insurers in both workers’ compensation and personal injury claims.  She is an experienced trial lawyer who has successfully tried a number of jury trials in Virginia and has handled a significant number of claims before the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission. 

Lauren provides legal advice to her clients to effectively and efficiently resolve outstanding claims, from the inception of the claim to its resolution through negotiation and settlement, or through evidentiary hearings before the Virginia Worker’s Compensation Commission. She routinely delivers training to her clients’ claims representatives. Her clients value her availability and responsiveness and know they can depend on her to answer their questions and promptly meet their needs.

Lauren has been named by Virginia Business as one of Virginia’s Legal Elite in the Young Lawyers’ Division, and by Richmond Magazine as one of Virginia’s rising star Super Lawyers for 2012, 2009, 2008, and 2007. She has also been named to The Best Lawyers in America every year since 2012 in the Personal Injury Litigation for Defendants.

Prior to joining McCandlish Holton, Lauren served as law clerk for the 12th Judicial Circuit in Chesterfield County. She worked primarily for the Honorable John F. Daffron, Jr. and the Honorable Michael C. Allen. 

Born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, Lauren earned her undergraduate degree in pre-law from the Pennsylvania State University where she served as President of the Penn State Equestrian Team, successfully leading the team to Nationals from 1993 through 1995 in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association. After graduating, she remained at Penn State as an assistant coach of the equestrian team for one academic year.

Today, Lauren enjoys playing tennis, watching Penn State football and spending time with her husband watching her twin boys play sports.
