Jarod is an Associate in the Workers' Compensation Practice Group. His practice focuses on defending employers and carriers in workers’ compensation matters.
Before joining McCandlish Holton, Jarod worked as Assistant Public Defender where he represented clients in traffic, misdemeanor, and serious felony matters. During his time defending criminal cases, he handled hundreds of hearings a year, often making several court appearances in one day. Before attending law school Jarod served his home state as a Public Affairs Specialist in the Maine Army National Guard.
Jarod graduated from Washington & Lee University School of Law in Lexington, VA where he was the recipient of the Class of 2023 Virginia Trial Lawyers Association Trial Advocacy Award.
When not assisting clients, Jarod enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with his wife and son.
