Megan joined McCandlish Holton in 2018 and is a Director in the Litigation Practice Group. She represents insureds, insurance carriers, automobile dealerships, and self-insured entities and focuses on automobile accidents, consumer litigation, and premises liability.
Megan enjoys the relationships she forms with her clients and supporting them through the litigation process. Given she is licensed to practice in numerous venues, Megan is familiar with and mindful of the rules and regulations for each of the courts in which she is admitted and has tried cases throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia and State of Maryland.
Recent Outcomes
- Authored a Motion for Summary Judgment on behalf of a national warehouse chain in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, which was granted on the written pleadings.
- Successfully authored and argued a Demurrer on behalf of a convenience store being sued as a result of a shooting incident that occurred on the premises, which resulted in the case being dismissed with prejudice.
- Successfully authored and argued a Motion in Limine to exclude medical illustrations in a personal injury case on the basis of the illustrations being substantially more prejudicial than probative.
- Prevailed as the plaintiff in an adverse possession case between neighbors sharing a fence line in a residential neighborhood.
