Dominic concentrates his practice in the areas of health care and intellectual property law.

For health care clients, Dominic provides transactional and regulatory representation to clients ranging from physicians and physician practice groups to nursing homes and hospital systems. He also represents clients in reimbursement and other disputes and advises health care providers on federal and state regulatory issues, including Certificate of Public Need, licensure and Stark law compliance.

In the Intellectual Property arena, Dominic advises individuals and domestic and international companies on strategic intellectual property issues, negotiates and drafts licensing and other core intellectual property agreements, and manages the firm’s trademark and copyright registration and protection practices.

Dominic has been recognized multiple times by Virginia Business magazine as one of Virginia’s “Legal Elite,” in the Health Law, Intellectual Property Law, and Young Lawyer categories. In 2007 & 2008, Dominic was named a Virginia Super Lawyers “Rising Star” in Healthcare Law. Dominic has served on the Board of Governors of the Virginia State Bar Intellectual Property Section and is a past officer of the Greater Richmond Intellectual Property Law Association.

Prior to joining the firm, Dominic served as a judicial clerk to the Hon. John D. Butzner, Jr., Senior Judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Working as a writer, editor and policy analyst prior to law school, Dominic specialized in the area of federal food and nutrition policy.  Dominic served on the Articles Review Board of the Virginia Law Review.

Dominic is a member of the Health Law and Intellectual Property Law sections of the Virginia State Bar and the Virginia Bar Association. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Richmond Bar Association, the American Health Lawyers Association and the Greater Richmond Intellectual Property Association. Dominic currently serves as Vice-President of Theatre IV, The Children's Theatre of Virginia.
