Jessica is a member of the litigation group and focuses her practice in the area of workers’ compensation.

As a workers’ compensation attorney, Jessica represents employers and carriers at hearings before the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission. Her practice also includes appellate work before the Full Commission and the Court of Appeals of Virginia.  Jessica handles cases involving both injuries by accident as well as occupational disease claims. She often advises clients on their duties in regards to the Medicare Secondary Payer Act (“MSP”) as well as the Medicare, Medicaid and SCHIP Extension Act of 2007 (“MMSEA”).

In law school at Wake Forest, Jessica was recognized for her trial advocacy skills by selection as a member of the American Association for Justice Trial Team and the Student Trial Bar.  Jessica served as a teaching assistant in the legal writing program at Wake Forest Law.  Prior to law school, Jessica worked in the human services field at a non-profit organization in Richmond.

Jessica is a member of the Virginia Bar Association and the Richmond Bar Association. She is admitted to practice before all Virginia courts, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia.  Jessica was recognized as a Virginia Rising Star in 2009.
